El deseo de consagrarse a Dios fue una constante en su vida. Desde muy ni\u00f1a vio a unas Hermanitas en la iglesia de su pueblo y le dio un salto el coraz\u00f3n con deseos de ser religiosa, no quit\u00e1ndosele la idea jam\u00e1s.<\/p>

El p\u00e1rroco D. Daniel Movilla, conociendo su vocaci\u00f3n la encamin\u00f3 al colegio de las Hijas de la Caridad en Orense y all\u00ed recibi\u00f3 una ense\u00f1anza personalizada e intensa hasta 1933 en que ingres\u00f3 en el seminario de las Hijas de la Caridad.<\/p>

El rasgo m\u00e1s destacado de su personalidad es el candor, su aspecto angelical, su inocencia, cualidades que no est\u00e1n re\u00f1idas con la responsabilidad, la madurez y el amor al trabajo que demostr\u00f3, porque no es ni\u00f1er\u00eda, sino presencia de Dios y fruto de un esfuerzo mantenido desde su infancia por conservar la gracia.<\/p>

Antes de iniciar el postulantado estuvo unos d\u00edas con su padre y hermanos en Lodoselo. Su padre, asustado del trato que el gobierno republicano ven\u00eda dando a la religi\u00f3n, hizo todo lo posible para que desistiera de su prop\u00f3sito y se quedara en casa. Ella se mostr\u00f3 firme en su vocaci\u00f3n, consciente del peligro. Le habl\u00f3 el padre del riesgo que hab\u00eda de que en cualquier guerra o revuelta los revolucionarios la matasen y contest\u00f3: \u2018yo quiero ser religiosa aunque me maten\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>

Ante esta actitud resuelta de la joven, su padre, Manuel Sotelo Garrido, autoriz\u00f3 su ingreso en el noviciado. Su \u00fanico destino fue el sanatorio antituberculoso del Esp\u00edritu Santo de Santa Coloma de Gramanet (Barcelona) donde realiz\u00f3 su servicio a los enfermos tuberculosos durante dos a\u00f1os, entre 1934 y 1936. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

MARTIRIO<\/strong>:<\/p>

Sufri\u00f3 el martirio en id\u00e9nticas condiciones que su compa\u00f1era Sor Toribia Marticorena. Al empezar la guerra ella se asust\u00f3 tanto al despertar al ruido de las sirenas, que el espanto le dur\u00f3 hasta la muerte, pues enseguida empezaron las quemas de las iglesias y conventos, junto con los bombardeos y muertes que produc\u00edan, pod\u00eda haber regresado a su casa familiar, pues era novicia.<\/p>

\u00a0La Visitadora o superiora Provincial y la superiora local la invitaron a volverse con su familia, ya que todav\u00eda no hab\u00eda emitido los votos, pero se mantuvo firme en sus prop\u00f3sitos. La mataron por su condici\u00f3n de Hija de la Caridad el 24 de octubre de 1936 junto a Sor Toribia Marticorena, seg\u00fan se narra en su biograf\u00eda.<\/p>
