\u00a0<\/strong>Teis, donde naci\u00f3 Jos\u00e9 Garc\u00eda P\u00e9rez en 1915 era un barrio de Vigo, lugar denominado San Juan del Monte en el extrarradio de la ciudad, habitado por familias sencillas, algunas muy necesitadas. La suya era una de ellas, casi un ni\u00f1o tuvo que empezar a trabajar de alba\u00f1il por haber muerto su padre.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ten\u00eda 14 a\u00f1os cuando se hicieron unas obras importantes en el colegio asilo del Ni\u00f1o Jes\u00fas de Praga de Vigo y entr\u00f3 en relaci\u00f3n con las Hijas de la Caridad. Con ocasi\u00f3n de un peque\u00f1o incidente las Hermanas descubrieron su madurez y la nobleza de su alma, as\u00ed como el hambre que pasaba en plena adolescencia.<\/p>

A partir de ese momento se qued\u00f3 a comer con los ni\u00f1os y el asilo fue para Pepi\u00f1o, como cari\u00f1osamente lo llamaban, su segunda casa. Sin dejar de trabajar para llevar el jornal a su madre, una Hermana que se expresaba bien en gallego se ocup\u00f3 de su instrucci\u00f3n con gran aprovechamiento.<\/p>

La superiora, admirada por la alegr\u00eda con que viv\u00eda su fe y el celo que ten\u00eda para ense\u00f1ar a los muchachos de su barrio lo que \u00e9l hab\u00eda aprendido en el colegio, dijo a la comunidad: \u201cParece que Dios guarda a este chico para una cosa grande\u201d. Tendr\u00eda unos 17 a\u00f1os cuando pas\u00f3 por el colegio un Padre Pa\u00fal, Pepi\u00f1o habl\u00f3 con este Padre y decidi\u00f3 ingresar en el colegio apost\u00f3lico de Villafranca del Bierzo (Le\u00f3n). De all\u00ed pas\u00f3 al noviciado de Hortaleza. Lo mataron a los 21 a\u00f1os siendo todav\u00eda novicio.<\/p>

MARTIRIO:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/strong>En febrero de 1936 el noviciado de la Congregaci\u00f3n pas\u00f3 al colegio de Tardajos, en Burgos, por seguridad, pero quedaron algunos en Hortaleza, entre ellos el H. Jos\u00e9 Garc\u00eda P\u00e9rez y el subdirector P. Eleuterio Castillo. En la biograf\u00eda de este padre y en la de los HH. Gelabert y Armend\u00e1riz se narran los detalles de la persecuci\u00f3n que sufri\u00f3 toda la comunidad de Hortaleza desde la expulsi\u00f3n de su casa el 21 de julio.<\/p>

Uno de los 13 religiosos era el H. Jos\u00e9 Garc\u00eda P\u00e9rez, pas\u00f3 por el Comit\u00e9 de Hortaleza, los calabozos de la DGS, la c\u00e1rcel Modelo y a partir del 16 o 17 de noviembre la de San Ant\u00f3n.<\/p>

Era un joven de 21 a\u00f1os, corpulento, trabajador, valiente, de alma sencilla y firme en su fe. En la c\u00e1rcel se dedic\u00f3 a lavar la ropa de los mayores. Solo pudo despedirse del H. Manuel Pato Romero.<\/p>

\u00a0Lo fusilaron en Paracuellos en la c\u00e9lebre saca del d\u00eda 28 de noviembre de 1936. Su cuerpo reposa junto a 15 Hospitalarios de Ciempozuelos, 13 Oblatos de Mar\u00eda Inmaculada, 12 Agustinos, 3 Salesianos, 2 Dominicos y un Carmelita que ya han sido beatificados.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
