Nuestra  comunidad est\u00e1 conformada por 8 Hermanas y dos obras: Escuela Daniel Hermida y el Hogar Miguel Le\u00f3n, nos dedicamos a la atenci\u00f3n integral de Ni\u00f1as y Adolescentes  y Adultos Mayores y a la Educaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

OBJETIVOS INICIALES:<\/strong> cuidar de las ni\u00f1as en situaci\u00f3n de orfandad para dar formaci\u00f3n moral, intelectual, y material de las ni\u00f1as y despu\u00e9s de  82 a\u00f1os m\u00e1s cuidar tarde cuidar de personas mayores en su vejes para que tengan tranquilidad en sus \u00faltimos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

OBJETIVOS ACTUALES: <\/strong>Dar atenci\u00f3n integral a las Ni\u00f1as en situaci\u00f3n de vulnerabilidad, para restituir sus derechos que han sido violentados, se encuentran bajo medidas de protecci\u00f3n, de la misma manera las personas  Adultas Mayores algunos se encuentran por vulneraci\u00f3n, por no tener familia y otros  que deciden ingresar con modalidad de residencial, donde encuentran acogida y servicio de calidad.8<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

HISTORIA:<\/strong><\/p>

El hogar nace con el nombre de Orfelinato fundado el 8 de diciembre de 1870 \u00a0se inici\u00f3 con\u00a0 doce ni\u00f1as, bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Mons. Est\u00e9vez de Toral, el terreno donde se asienta la obra fue donado por los hnos. sacerdotes Justo y Miguel Le\u00f3n. La Srta.\u00a0 Ana Merch\u00e1n fue la primera directora. Esta obra se funda para socorrer a ni\u00f1as en situaci\u00f3n de orfandad, con el fin de dar una formaci\u00f3n integral.<\/p>

Transcurridos\u00a0 diez a\u00f1os los autores de la obra, pesaron confiarla a una comunidad religiosa y fijaron los ojos en las Hijas de la caridad que se encontraban sirviendo a la comunidad cuencana en el Hospital \u201cSan Vicente de pa\u00fal. Sor \u00c1ngela Mugroes con tres hermanas m\u00e1s se hicieron cargo de dicha obra.\u00a0<\/p>

M\u00e1s tarde en el a\u00f1o 1952 el personal de la asistencia p\u00fablica de esta ciudad, solicita a los Superiores provinciales, para que la comunidad se hiciera cargo de las 40 ancianas que se encontraban en la casa de El Buen Retiro, cuya\u00a0 benefactora fue Do\u00f1a Florencia Astudillo. Pero como el municipio necesitaba la casa para transformarla en museo arquitect\u00f3nico\u00a0 de Cuenca, deciden por ambas partes, que las ancianitas pasen a vivir el resto de su vida en el Hogar Miguel Le\u00f3n.<\/p>

Esta obra est\u00e1 por cumplir 150 a\u00f1os, es una instituci\u00f3n muy reconocida por la ciudadana n\u00eda Cuencana, las hermanas trabajamos para que perdure bajo la direcci\u00f3n de las Hijas de la Caridad hasta cuando Dios as\u00ed lo disponga. Por ello estamos realizando gestiones con diferentes instituciones a fin de que el Hogar llegue a ser una entidad autosustentable, tambi\u00e9n\u00a0 queremos gestionar a nivel internacional, para conseguir fondos para readecuar, reconstruir y dar mantenimiento en los siguientes aspectos: red hidrosanitarias, red el\u00e9ctrica, y\u00a0 los techos de todo el edificio. Estimamos que este proyecto ser\u00e1 un proceso que puede durar unos cinco a\u00f1os. Confiamos a San Vicente\u00a0 y Santa Luisa llegue hacer realidad nuestro sue\u00f1o. Para ejecutar los proyectos no contamos con recursos pero creemos que se puede alcanzar a trav\u00e9s de gestiones con las Universidades, el Municipio, la prefectura y otros.<\/p>

Es servir con amor afectivo y afectivo como nos dice nuestro Santo Fundador.\u00a0 Para el servicio de las dos poblaciones tenemos un buen equipo de hermanas\u00a0 preparadas para dar atenci\u00f3n integral.
